The summer Sailing Season

On The Docks: The Summer Sailing Season
Doug Mills Maritime Editor
The 2012 sailing season is only weeks away.  The North End Shipyard in Rockland will start hauling out the
historic tall ships of the Maine Windjammer Association for their annual spring refit and inspection in the next couple of weeks.  If you have not seen these majustic boats out of the water this would be a great time to stop by the North End Shipyard at 11 Front Street.

Spring On The Coast Of Maine

Story and Photographs by Doug Mills

On this the first day of spring, I thought that a little reminder of why we love spring on the coast of Maine.  The warm sun melts the snow creating beautiful streams and waterfalls.  New grass and the return of flowers.  For many of us spring also means time to get the boat ready for another great season of sailing on the coast of Maine.
