200 Years Ago: 1812

It has been 200 years since the War of 1812.
As war was declared the USS Constitution was sailing north to New York when
she was ambushed and pursued by the HMS Guerriere and three other British ships.
Realizing she is greatly outnumbered the Constitution tries to escape only to loose her wind.
The longboats are put out and they attempt to tow the boat to safety, but the British do the same.
After several days of calm the Constitution finally escapes the ambush.
Only a month later the USS Constitution and the HMS Guerriere meet again
with much different results. The HMS Guerriere is demasted, captured and sunk
with almost no damage to the Constitution.
